We love Manayunk! It has been nearly a year since we moved to this town and the love has yet to cease. From the character of Main Street to the hilly and windy side streets, we adore where we are located, and according to Manayunk.com and Manayunk Magazine, the feeling is mutual.
Shortly after moving to the area, we became associated with the Manayunk Business Development Corporation who then led us to our relationship with Manayunk.com. They were doing a story on Manayunk’s best sandwiches, so we hopped in a golf cart to photograph and ate our way through some of the town’s best food.
We were then asked to collaborate with them during the StrEAT Festival where we had the opportunity to photograph our way through the 30,000 people in attendance and, of course, munch our way down Main Street. There was exercise involved as well! We took pictures of lululemon’s free yoga event during the festival. What a workout!
Just a few days later, we were asked back to cover Manayunk.com’s Beer Tour, so we once again hopped in our trusty golf cart to taste the beer and beer food of Main Street. We loved exploring the quaint and cool bars just steps away from our front door.
Just being in this town has afforded us opportunities and experiences unlike any other and have led to us being featured in Manayunk Magazine, expanding our understanding of this town as well as increasing the work of JPG Photography.
As we continue our work here, we look forward to documenting more of the events and people here and becoming further engrained in the the culture that makes our little canal town great.
