If the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, the zig-zag, roundabout route that I took to becoming a photography professional would explain why it took so long for me to arrive at my destination. From bank teller to administrative assistant; sales support to stay-at-home mother, I had many stops along the way. At one point I would have told you that the stay-at-home part was the end. Turns out it was just the beginning.
As my children grew and literally began walking on their own, I decided it was time for me to figuratively do the same. But what was I good at? I was good at talking to people and sales. What did I like to do? Heck, what did I love to do? I loved photography and anything having to do with it. So when the opportunity presented itself, I didn’t just walk, I ran to join JPG Photography.
During my years here at JPG I have learned the photography business top to bottom: how to sell you on our incredible photography, how to take the pictures, how to edit them and how to provide awesome customer service when everything is finished and ready to go. Well, to be honest, I already had the “awesome customer service” part down cold, it was the actual “photography” part of the photography business that I needed to learn.
And that is exactly what I’ve done through my involvement with clients like the Philadelphia Convention Visitors’ Bureau and the Philadelphia branch of the Human Rights Campaign. I learn our Client’s needs and what they are looking for in a photography partner and deliver. With JPG’s vast imaging resources, vision and our top-of-the-line studio.
My role here at JPG Photography fits me perfectly. I get to work with amazing people behind the cameras and then deliver our exceptional products to the people in front of them. And, you can even hire me to be your photographer!
Let me know how JPG can create a vision for you.
