We love couples who love to party! Here at JPG, our photojournalism skills shine when capturing the high energy parties that our couples throw for their family and friends. Big or small — photographing receptions is where some of our best work comes from. In Kristie and Ed’s case, we got to party with them not once, but twice! The couple decided to do throw a New Year’s Eve party to follow up their autumn wedding, and invited JPG along for the ride.
Kristie and Ed exchanged vows at Saint Pius Church in Broomall, and had their reception at Springfield Country Club with about 150 guests. We got some awesome photos from their wedding day, including one that ended up getting a WPJA award! Needless to say, we were excited and eager to get those two in front of the cameras again. Their New Year’s Eve party was at Hotel Palomar (one of our favorite venues), and it did not disappoint! The whole night was filled with dancing, singing, drinking, noise-makers, and lots of silly props! The countdown to midnight was a special part of the night, because Kristie and Ed got to witness the turn of the new year with all of their friends surrounding them.
I know from the countless weddings I’ve documented over my career that your wedding celebration is one of those moments you want to have again and again. We are thrilled that Kristie and Ed decided to do just that, and that they chose JPG to capture each event.
