Beach weddings bring me back to where we first started in Virginia Beach VA. The sound of crashing ocean waves brings a sense of relaxation and tranquility to any day.
Normally I write a day chronologically but for this wedding we have to start with the most memorable bridal wedding party photo I’ve ever shot. As a reminder to all of my couples and friends, no one should ever tease me with a crazy idea. I tend to take them and run as far as I possibly can with them. That single stroke of genius won an award, so ladies once again, you’re fabulous.[/column][column]
Amanda and Derek exchanges vows at the Jersey Shore. They chose the Avenue in Long Branch, New Jersey, usually a nightclub complete with a rooftop pool and fireplace. The nearby Bungalow Hotel, is sleek and stylish and proved to be a fun place for the girls to get ready.
On a side note the progress the Jersey Shore has made in a year after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy amazed me. The beach was packed with people, even in September. There is no question, the shore is thriving again. After a beautiful ceremony on the roof of Avenue, Amanda and Derek went for a walk on the beach for some ocean side pictures. Dusk was in our favor, as it allowed us to capture a glow around our sexy couple. The sun set upon the boardwalk ushering in a night of revelry as the couple returned to their reception. The DJ from the SCE Event Group did an awesome job getting everyone out onto the dance floor.[/column][column]
Derek and Amanda, you were a pleasure to photograph as well as celebrate. JPG wishes you a life together as beautiful as you both are.
Best,
