Martha and Cody gave JPG a peek into their world during our latest Philadelphia engagement session by letting us join them on a biking date. As they are in a long-distance relationship — only seeing each other a couple times each month — we had the honor of photographing them having fun in the city they hope to call their joint home.
JPG loves Philadelphia, and we revel in Philly-centric shoots. This one began with renting Indego Bikes and taking them for a spin around the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art. Martha and Cody look so happy in their images that we’re sure people watching thought we were doing a commercial shoot for the ubiquitous blue bike company. Wink:Wink … you’re welcome, Indego! And, everyone already knows JPG loves bicycles — right Naked Bikers!
Next, we went to Paine’s Skate Park along the Schuylkill River Trail and found a lovely blend of urban and natural imagery, polished with beautiful sunlight.
Any Philly native knows that a tour through the city would never be complete without a visit to Reading Terminal Market. Our day ended with a stroll through the colorful and bustling aisles of the famous market while snacking on some Amish Beiler’s Donuts. And yes, the 15-minute long wait in line is always worth it.
A big thanks to Martha and Cody for this Center City double-date and the Indego Biking Philly engagement shoot. We hope you had as much fun during your session as we did. See you at the wedding!
Best, Joe G.
